[Abstract]
Objective To systematically evaluate the effects of somatosensory interactive games on the balance and limb function of stroke patients, providing reference for the rehabilitation care of the population. Methods Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effects of somatosensory interactive games on stroke patients were searched in PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,Embase,Medline,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and CBM databases from their inception to February 2024.RevMan 5.4 and Stata 18.0 were used for the Meta-analysis.Results A total of 26 articles involving 1281 patients were included.Meta-analysis results showed that somatosensory interactive games could improve patients’ balance function, limb motor function, enhance activities of daily living, and reduce the “Up and Go” test time (all P<0.01).After sensitivity analysis was performed on the 10-meter walk test, the improvement effect changed from non-significant to significant, indicating instability in the Meta-analysis results. Conclusions Somatosensory interactive games can improve balance and motor function in stroke patients and enhance their ability to perform activities of daily living. However, more studies are needed to confirm the effect on the 10-meter walk test.
